Atraviesa las comarcas de la Subb\u00e9tica y de la Campi\u00f1a Sur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nace en <strong>Rute <\/strong>en los l\u00edmites del parque natural de las Sierras Subb\u00e9ticas, concretamente en el paraje llamado <strong>Molino del Nacimiento<\/strong>, cerca de la aldea de Zambra, en la sierra de Gaena, aunque recibe tambi\u00e9n aportes de algunos arroyos que bajan desde las sierras.
