En 2021 contaba con 5.341 habitantes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pueblo situado entre el campo y las Sierras Subb\u00e9ticas, su territorio est\u00e1 cubierto casi en su totalidad por un mar de olivos que le dan un aire de fertilidad y riqueza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aunque se han encontrado reliquias ib\u00e9ricas, Nueva Carteya naci\u00f3 realmente en 1822, como caser\u00edo perteneciente a Cabra.
