Tiene 476 habitantes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Este peque\u00f1o pueblo est\u00e1 situado al sureste de la provincia, entre la Sierra del Pozo y Sierra M\u00e1gina. Su paisaje est\u00e1 dominado principalmente por olivares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El sitio original del pueblo se form\u00f3 alrededor de un manantial en la finca del Cortijo de San Pedro y perteneci\u00f3 primero a Quesada y luego a Cabra del Santo Cristo. Su historia corre paralela a la de los dem\u00e1s pueblos de la zona. La actividad econ\u00f3mica basada en el esparto hizo que su poblaci\u00f3n alcanzara los 2.000 habitantes en la d\u00e9cada de 1950.
