De todas sus publicaciones destaca la obra l\u00edrica en prosa Platero y yo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tras el estallido de la Guerra Civil, se marcha al exilio, falleciendo en San Juan de Puerto Rico en 1958.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p>\u201cPlatero es peque\u00f1o, peludo, suave; tan blando por fuera, que se dir\u00eda todo de algod\u00f3n, que no lleva huesos. S\u00f3lo los espejos de azabache de sus ojos son duros cual dos escarabajos de cristal negro.
