Su nombre proviene del utensilio mazo, o porra, con la que se machacaban los ingredientes en un cuenco. La principal diferencia con el salmorejo es la presencia de pimiento rojo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Se suele servir muy fr\u00eda con jam\u00f3n y huevo duro.
